Displaying your company logo on your screens in your office or organization is crucial for reinforcing brand identity and creating a cohesive professional environment. It enhances brand recognition among employees, visitors, and clients, fostering a sense of pride and unity. Additionally, consistent logo display ensures your brand remains top-of-mind, promoting a strong, memorable presence and aligning with your organization's marketing and branding efforts.

Let’s begin and get your screens branded to your organization's identity!

For optimal display quality, it is recommended that your logo image file be in a PNG format with a width of at least 600 pixels. This size ensures that the logo appears crisp and clear on high-definition screens without any distortion or pixelation. Additionally, using a PNG file with a transparent background can help seamlessly integrate the logo into various digital signage designs.

You can either upload the image file to your ScreenCloud media library or grab the URL of the file hosted from your organization's website or other online location you might host public URLs from.

You can also crop the image directly in the file upload window, in case you only have a square image file at hand.

2. Create your branded theme and upload your logo

Under Accounts > Look & Feel, you can create your themes, which are applied to your screens with the help of channels.

You can apply two colors for your objects and backgrounds, and two colors for fonts:

You should be able to find the hex colors for your company through your branding kit, you can use the MS Paint (Windows) or Preview (macOS) tools, which both contain color selector tools that reveal the color hex. Or simply refer to your company branding kit! 

For MS Paint from Windows, simply take a screenshot, open that screenshot, use the dropper tool, and click Edit colors to select the color you wish to identify. This will provide you with the hex code for your brand color. 

For macOS’s Preview, use the color selector tool, select the color sliders icon, and then select RGB Sliders from the dropdown list. You’ll see the hex color code appear below the three sliders for the RGB values.

The standard ScreenCloud subscription provides a few fonts that are available from Google Fonts, so you can select from the available fonts. Refer to your company branding kit to identify which fonts are closest to your brand, if your desired font is not available.

When your company-branded theme is ready, click Save!

This theme can now be applied to your screen channels. We'll let you know how this is done in the next step!

3. Incorporate your logo with ScreenCloud apps

When a theme containing a logo is applied to the app, this will replace the existing logo of the app integration.

Not sure how to have a theme modify an app?
In your channel, select the Settings tab on the right, and toggle on the Channel Theme switch. You will then be able to select from your account’s available theme. For more details on applying a theme to a channel, please see here.

Keep in mind, when working with more than one logo-sharing app in a multiple zone layout, you might want to toggle off the “Show logo” switch so that you don’t see multiple logo icons on your screen.

Not all apps can pick up the logo from a theme. Listed below are all of the apps that can incorporate a logo:

4. Add your company logo to a channel zone

When you create a Channel, you have a large array of different zone layouts to choose from. When creating a Channel, click the ‘Edit Layout’ button and pick your selection from the ‘All Layout’ tab. If you wish to show your logo in your channel, you might want to select a zone layout that contains a small zone in the corner.

In the sample below we’ve used a JPG image with the white version of the logo over a dark background. This keeps it separate from the background color layer, which might get hidden if the logo is transparent.

Because we have the logo constantly showing, it has been removed from the theme and does not display with the apps included in the channel.

When setting up your logo for this layout, make sure you have set the zone holding the logo to Fit to Zone. As you choose your zone layout, you can hover over the small corner zone to know which dimensions to keep your logo file within.

4. Create a new zone and custom layout for your logo

If the available zone layouts are not what you are looking for, how about having a go at creating a custom zone layout? Perhaps you just want a small logo in the corner of your screen.

To create this, you'll need to add some new code to the CSS editor for your screens. Follow the steps below to find out where this can be done in your channel:

i) To customize a Channel’s zone layout, click the Edit Layout button on the right side of your screen menu in Studio.

ii) Select which existing zone layout to customize and apply your logo zone, and click Customize.

iii) Click the CSS tab to make your changes. Make sure to adjust the Config as well, when creating your new logo zone.

If you happen to be using a channel with content set to full-screen switching, don't worry! We got you covered. 

To make sure your logo continues to display when your channel changes from multiple zone layouts to one, please add the code mentioned here to your CSS editor for your channel, and adjust it to your design needs. For this method, you will need to insert a URL for your logo image.
