The ScreenCloud LumApp app connects your LumApps employee experience platform to your digital signage, helping you centralize communication, strengthen community engagement, and share important updates across your organization. LumApps communities are fully customizable to match your brand, with content accessible on both desktop and mobile devices. When displayed through ScreenCloud, your community posts become eye-catching on-screen announcements, making it easier than ever to deliver timely information throughout your workspace. By using themes and custom fonts, you can also keep your site’s branding consistent on screen.

LumApps uses OAuth 2.0 for third-party integrations. To connect ScreenCloud you must be able to create an OAuth application and provide additional details from their account:

These credentials allow ScreenCloud to authenticate and access the selected LumApps community data.

Where to find the Host URL, Organization ID and User ID in LumApps.

Press Ctrl + / (or Ctrl + Shift + ? on some keyboards).

Copy and save the the following details for your ScreenCloud LumApp app setup later:
i:.The Id under Organization (Customer) for Organization ID
ii.The Id under User is for the User ID
iii. The Haussmann cell is for the Host URL.

How to create an OAuth application in LumApps (Full LumApps documentation is available here)

1. From the homepage, select the Settings (cog icon) and find Site > Settings.

2. Go to Extensions → Installed extensions.

3. Select the Pencil / Edit icon for OAuth Application Manager.

6. Enter a name in the Application name field and Choose all.read in the Scopes field.

8. Copy and store the Application ID and Application Secret somewhere safe for later.

2.1. Install the ScreenCloud LumApps app from your Apps library by searching for “LumApps” and clicking Get once the app is selected.

2.2. In the app setup, select Connect a LumApps account button.

2.3. Input the LumApps connection details you prepared earlier for Host URL, Organization ID, User ID, Application ID (Client ID), and Application Secret (Client Secret) and give your connection a name. Select Add connection.

2.4. Once connected, you can filter your LumApps content for your screens by Community.

2.5. Once you save your selection, please note that you are unable to make changes to the app. If you wish to change your community selections, you will need to re-create the app instance from the beginning.

2.6. Under the Manage Posts tab, you will see your available LumApps posts from the selected Community. Here you can Hide or Show which content displays with the app.

2.7. You can then adjust the app's Style & Settings for how it displays it’s content.

Style options: Random, Basic, Circular, Angular, Cards, or Arrows.

Dark Mode: Toggle on to display light text over a dark background.

Do not crop images: Option to preserve full image size without cropping.

Applying a Style Pack updates all messages created in the instance and will also adopt a Channel’s theme.

Hide old posts: Configure how long posts remain visible on screen. The maximum value is 365 days.

Custom post duration: Choose how long an individual post appears on screen. Options include Slow, Default, and Fast, or you can enter a custom time in seconds.

Resume posts: When scheduled in a Playlist or Channel with other content, this instance will resume from the post immediately after the last one shown.

Multi-image display mode: Choose between Grid view or Single image sequence.

Limit video post duration: When enabled, you can set a maximum playback length, in seconds, for videos. If turned off, videos will play fully before advancing to the next post.

App logo: Display or hide the Unily logo (or Channel theme logo).

QR to original post: Scanning opens the original Unily post, and requires account access and login if not already signed in.

Author: Display or hide the author of the post.

View your app settings in Landscape or Portrait orientation to see how it will display on screen.

2.8. With your settings for the app selected, you can take a look at how your content will appear on screen with a Preview. If you like what you see, go ahead and name your app and select Save & Close button.

3. Set your ScreenCloud LumApp app to your screens

Add your LumApp app to your screens by inserting it in a playlist or channel, or simply casting the app to a paired screen! 4. ScreenCloud LumApp app limits and layout compatibility

The app only pulls community posts at this time. Support for displaying other post types is coming soon.
