I did not save the Webhooks API key. Can I access it again?

ScreenCloud only shows your Webhooks API key the first time you set up an integration, similar to most API key setups in business software. You can create a new Webhooks API key and start the process over from that step.

How can I deactivate a Webhooks API key?

Accepted Answer

If you accidentally share your API key or suspect it’s being used by a third party, disable your ScreenCloud Webhooks app then recreate that instance. To do that, open the ScreenCloud Webhooks app, click the three-dot menu on the right side of your Webhooks instance, and select Delete App Instance. You can then create a new Webhooks instance, copy the new URL and API key, add them to your software or automation, then replace the older Webhooks app in your ScreenCloud playlists or channels to recreate your original setup.

How can I update content in the ScreenCloud Webhooks app?

The Webhooks App always plays the most recently submitted content, based on the creation date in your Webhooks POST call. If your latest content is not showing, check to ensure your Webhooks call included the correct dateCreated.

Can I send a Webhooks call to ScreenCloud without every data field?

Yes. ScreenCloud Webhooks only requires the standard header data including API key. The body can include any or all of the supported fields. ScreenCloud Webhooks app will customize the slide format based on the data included in the call.

How long does the ScreenCloud Webhooks app display content?

Each slide in ScreenCloud Webhooks app plays for 10 seconds. The content will loop back to the first slide automatically for as long as your Webhooks app is scheduled in your playlists or channels.

How can I add a QR code to my ScreenCloud Webhooks slides?

Accepted Answer

ScreenCloud automatically turns link attachments into QR codes so viewers can scan and visit the link from their device. Include a URL in the attachments field of your Webhooks API call, with the contentType link. ScreenCloud will show a small QR code for links shared along with images or text content, or a large, full-screen QR code for links shared individually.

Does ScreenCloud Webhooks support formatted text?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can include formatting information as part of Webhooks. This includes italics, bold, underline, text highlight, bullet points, number points, and block quotes. Simply include this as HTML with the content you send in.
