How long will the OneDrive Gallery app show for?

The OneDrive Gallery app will show for a predetermined amount of time depending on the content from your chosen folder and how long a duration you’ve set for each piece of content. For example, if there are 10 images in the selected folder, and each image is set to show for 6 seconds, you will have a one-minute feed.

This can be edited by going to the app settings and changing the time duration.

Can I select multiple folders to display content?

With each instance of the app, you can only choose one folder containing a maximum of 200 images, however, you can add as many OneDrive apps as you like. We recommend combining media into one folder or adding as many instances of the app as you’d like to show different folders.

What file types does the app support?

Accepted Answer

For images, the app mostly supports jpeg, png, and most common video formats. The app runs by supporting file types that your ScreenCloud device/browser supports. For example, if you're using a Chromebit device that runs on ChromeOS, it would depend on what files Chrome supports for playback on their browser in which .tiff files would not be supported but a .jpeg would display on the screen. Please note that currently, no modern browsers support file formats in HEIC or HEIF (High-Efficiency Image File) or adopted by iOS 11 and later iOS operating systems. For example, this means photos captured using the latest iPhone models. You can reformat or export the images to .jpeg format for support in the OneDrive Gallery app.

Can I select a shared OneDrive folder that is owned by another Microsoft account user?

No, this is a current limitation of the app, and you can only display folders that you have created.

I am not able to log into the app with my email, what can I do?

If you are experiencing issues logging into the app, please clear your browser cache or try to log in with incognito mode. This issue is experienced if you have existing Microsoft login sessions in your browser. If you still are not able to log in, please contact our ScreenCloud support.

In what order does the OneDrive app display the images from the selected folder?

Accepted Answer

Images in the OneDrive app are displayed from newest to oldest, based on the "lastModifiedDateTime" timestamp. To display images in a specific order, create and play them from a playlist.
